ULTRA Scientific now offers 24 Catalogued Standards formulated to meet the specifications detailed by QuEChERS EN 15662, AOAC 2007.1 and Mini-Multiresidue Methods. The launch of this newest product line – ULTRA QuECh™ – reinforces ULTRA’s commitment to provide innovative products that meet the exacting standards of laboratory professionals worldwide. QuEChERS is rapidly becoming the chosen sample prep technique for the analysis of multiple pesticide residues in high moisture food samples.
The need for high quality QuEChERS standards has been met and laboratories no longer have to spend time preparing their own standards. ULTRA QuECh™ Standards streamline the labs’ efficiency – they are reliable, ready-to-use and guaranteed to stated quality. ULTRA QuECh™ Standards are available as either single or multiple analyte solutions, enabling the customer to select from the most popular mixed analyte solutions or the flexibility to select individual standards.
ULTRA QuECh™ Standards are manufactured in accordance with ULTRA’s ISO 9001 registered quality system and the analyte concentrations are verified by ULTRA’s ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. They are packaged in either 1 mL or 5 mL amber glass ampoules and, as catalogue items, they are in stock and ready for immediate shipping.
Beyond these 24 catalogued standards, ULTRA is fully equipped to meet any custom standard need for QuEChERS analysis. Furthermore, ULTRA offers a full complement of over 450 catalogued pesticide standard solutions and over 1000 pesticides for custom solutions. The end-user can be assured by ULTRA’s 35 year commitment to reliability and quality, in that, as with all ULTRA products, our expert chemists are prepared to answer any inquiries and to troubleshoot through to solutions.
The QuEChERS method was introduced in 2003 by Anastassiades, Lehotay, et. al. and thereafter codified in two methods: EN 15662 and AOAC 2007.01. It is an acronym for Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe. The four-step process requires homogenization of the food sample, partitioning of the pesticide analytes into an organic phase and final cleanup by a dispersive solid phase extraction. The supernatant is ready to be analyzed by GC/MS or HPLC.
QuEChERS is noted for its methodological ease of use, the reduction of solvent waste (only 10 mL per sample) and recoveries consistent with more time and labor consuming methods. The improved throughput results in considerable time and cost savings for personnel and equipment.
